Posted on May 18, 2026May 17, 2026 by Delaney

Program 4 – “The Sandhills are Open!”

Join the Knight Museum and Sandhills Center on Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 PM for the final installment in this four-part educational series presented by Geoff and Cheri Hopkins.

This program will explore the settlement and development of the Nebraska Sandhills through topics including homesteading, the establishment of towns and ranches, and the impact of the Kinkaiders on western Nebraska history.

Even if you were unable to attend earlier programs in the series, this presentation serves as an excellent introduction to Sandhills settlement history and is open to all.
